Sound Drip TV (international urban music television) is a 24/7 network founded and hosted by Chi King, a Brooklyn artist and host. It broadcasts as Channel 9 on VivaLive TV and streams to 196 countries, programming hip hop, reggae, dancehall, afrobeats, reggaeton and urban talk shows.
The Mission
Chi King started Sound Drip TV with a simple read on the culture. Urban music does not stop at a city line, so the platform that carries it should not either. From a Brooklyn platform to a Paris banlieue, the sound travels. We built a network to travel with it.
We are Channel 9 on the VivaLive TV app, streaming to 196 countries with a full slate of music videos, live performances, premieres and urban talk shows. What plays on a corner in Kingston, Lagos, Santo Domingo or the Bronx can find its audience here without asking permission from a gatekeeper.
